Usually it depends on the condition of the paint and what the owner is willing to pay for. Most luxury RVs are garage queens when not being used so a good one step is fine for regular maintenance but if you have one that has oxidized, you need to use gel coat specific polishes before waxing.

I can't imagine any wax holding up long with salt water running over it at 20 knots.
