Polish with different methods

I would like to ask people's opinion about my understanding for the different method/product combinations for polishing. I have done a lot of reading but I want to make sure that I get this right.

Is it correct that an aggressive compound, like M105, is capable of different levels of correction if used via different method, like hand, pc, flex, and rotary? i.e assuming same (correct) techniques, rotary (I assume this is more powerful than pc.) with M80 would give similar result with pc (less powerful) with M105?

I don't know if I get this completely wrong or simplified this too much but I just try to understand this in a more logical way.

Thanks!

You are correct that the aggressiveness of work depends on a combination of factors, including the chemical, tools used, your technique, applied force, workability of the finish, etc.

How the aggressiveness of some specific combination compares to that of another can only be determined by trying them both on the same finish and comparing the results. (And the results may be completely different on some other finish.)
