Got some Megs 82 SFP..tried it Sat on my black Benz. Ok..but not too clear..tried my sample of 1Z MP..yikes!! Clear..bright..deep. Tried a few other things..nothing seems to work as well. I'm looking for a final polish..you know..deep, wet, glossy, etc. I only have a little sample of 1Z...want to try something easily available. I'm using DACP first. Have tried PB w/C, PB w/EX,SWP, SMR..want something better.

Are Einzett products available anywhere in the Boston area? I hate to order one or two items mail order and pay alot of shipping.:nixweiss

If you have other items you need to order besides 1Z products, order from DavidB here on this site. That way you will save on shipping.

I also like what 1Z does to a black car. Attached is a picture of my wife's mustang that I did this weekend. My process included 1Z PP for swirls and scratches followed by MP. I used Glanz Wax to seal the paint.

Ummmmm...I have SMR for dark..I tried 3M Perfect It III MG...Show Car Glaze....I want to try and remove microswirls as opposed to hiding them. The best finish I got was: 1Z (your sample)..then WG precleaner follwed by WG Gloss..let Gloss sit about 45 minutes...amazing...deep glow..but clear reflections...looked incredible later that night. I parked outside a club under sodium lamp....reflections were impressive. Tom P..do you use ..and like...the Menzerna products?

Does the AB supply place in Milford carry any of the better polishes?

I have the Menzerna IP and FP. I have used them twice. Nice to work with but, based upon your specifics, I'm not certain they're gonna do what you want.

I still think that 1Z MP is better as it contains a minor amount of carnauba. I think 1Z has another new polish called softwax/polish (or something to that effect) that you may wish to research. That has a higher carnauba content.

Did you ever play with the 1Z Glanz wax sample I gave you?

I washed the BMW this weekend with Sonax and could not believe the impact I got from just a quik wash and nothing else. It was breathtaking. Nothing has been done to the car since having 1Z Glanz applied last year:

WOW!! You really did nothing but wash???? I couldn't get that look with a whole day of prepping!!!

I did try the Glanzwax on Sat....had my wife wash my black demo ...while I did the Benz....heeheehee. After she was done..it looked like I had taken it to one of those High School fund raiser washes. I think she missed about half the vehicle! I took the PC...when I was done with the Benz....used some Perfect It III MG ..did a section of the hood, then applied the Glanzwax to that half of the hood. Then, "for something completely different"..I took the polishing pad..and applied NXT to the other side..working it in a little almost like a polish...I know..why??...well..because!! It actually looks good..I was curious about the cleaning properties of NXT and figured..why not use it on my company demo?

Will have to wait for the next rain.

Interesting note: my wife and I both left early this morning. As we were leaving we both noticed that the frost on the Benz was different than on my Toyota. The Benz has WG on it..the Toyota doesn't. The frost had formed odd shaped circles all over the flat surfaces..perfect formations..hood and trunk...I haven't finished the roof yet. That had random crystal shapes all over.

Does the Milford guy carry any polishes?

Yep, wash only..with SONAX. Believe me, I was astounded as well. The car has never looked so good.

Yes, he'll have the Meg's products and some of the 3M products. He seems to be able to order anything within those 2 families. In fact, he probably has access to much more...I've never asked...don't want to know the answer to a question of that nature. :p

I noticed the frost circles with the WG too! It reminded me of mysterious crop circles. (oooo..scary!)

Seriously though, I was thinking it may be due to the frost forming within 12-24 hours of application, since the label says not to even rinse the car for 12-24 hours, and this is a form of precipitation. (?)

Anyone else have an idea on this?

This truck was polished using 1Z which was then hit with Menzerna FP as a last step polishing product to burnish the paint to an even higher gloss. I see an advantage to using FP (I) (as opposed to the newer FP II) as a last step because it contains no oils/fillers and I believe it removes everything the 1Z left on the paint. The paint will squeek when the FP is removed with a MF.
