polish order

I purchased mcguires polish, and when I got home I noticed it said "especially formulated for dark colored cars." Would I be wasting my time if I used it on my White car?

If i decide to use it, I still have some wax left on the car. Could it be applied over the wax or does the wax have to be stripped? Also i was thinking about using a cleaner wax after the polish, becuase i have some black lines running down the sides of the car (there was alot of rain while I was away on vacation)...would the cleaner wax take away the polish that was previously applied?

thanks for the help.

I would clay the car first, then polish, then wax. The clay will take off the wax that is already on there and most likely take those black lines off as well. The polish could then be applied to a good clean surface. Then the wax could be applied for the final shine and protection. Im sure you will get a more educated opinion but that is just my .02

Not a waste at all. It probably has some fillers (oils) in it which will assist in hiding and light spiderwebbing, it cant remove. We all know swirls are more visible on dark colors, this is just a simple bi-product of the formula Megs is using with that particular polish. Polishes will remove wax, so dont be concerned with "dewaxing" first. The cleaner/wax (#6?) also has some chemical cleaning ability, so that will remove any left over wax still remaining after polishing. Dont expect alot from the cleaner/wax. Its better attribute is its cleaning ability, opossed to its protective abilities. Should wipe out those black lines as well! Come on over and do my travel trailer when your done, I have more then enough of those black lines!
