Well I can answer "sling" as soon as you let me know what it means...

Sling is product flying away from the pad when starting the rotary up. Unless your pressing really hard down on the paint, I just can't see how your not getting any product to "sling" (or maybe "spray" is a better word) when using such a high RPM. are you starting at lower speeds, then moving up to 4000? Or immediatly @ 4000?

One of the ways to check your work is in full sun where the sun shines directly into the paint. I can make pretty much any car with clean paint and wax reflect and be swirled to hell and back. Put the car in direct sun and take a picture of the reflection of the sun.

Murat, what kind of polisher do you have??? If you use a Mak 9227, the numbers are just speed indicators, not ×1000...

Here you can find the speeds related to their respective numbers:

Numbers - RPM

1 - 600

2 - 900

3 - 1,500

4 - 2,100

5 - 2,700

6 - 3,000

Gotcha... I of course start off slowly and increase gradually. Actually I do not apply the product onto the pad but on the body as little splotches everywhere over the section I am to take care of...
