Polish of choice

To do what specifically?

For deep cleaning, I would use Meguiars Dual Action Cleaner/Polish, for swirl removal, I would use Meguiars Swirl Free Polish and for a light glaze, probably S100 SEPC or Clearkote's Vanilla Moose (should be available any day now-my free trial bottle is almost empty) by hand...but you can use Vanilla Moose (again as soon as it is available) with a buffer.

Yeah "polish" is a pretty broad term. It's like asking a mechanic what the best "tool" is. Most people here like the huge range of products available from both 3M and Meguiars. You probably can't go wrong with either brand.

can megs DACP be used by hand?
Officially, no. But it's okay for PC use, and several people have used it by hand. :)

I think it might be a good product to use by hand, since hand polishing usually doesn't get you much results (for people who aren't Scott ;)) in the amount of time and work people like to spend.

Meguiars products sound interesting. I would like to give them a try. I deally, the polish I need must be made for today's newer finishes. Any other brands worth mentioning.

Like ScottWax said, it really depends on what your need is before you pick a polish for that specific application.

I use

Meguiars Swirl Remover 2.0

Platinum (non abrasive)

3M Swirl Mark Remover

3M Finesse IT-II

3M Fine Cut rubbing compound

I could find a few others if I looked in my storage shelf here but you get the idea.

Try not to polish if you don't need to, I feel it's better off to use a polymer non silicone filler such as Plaitnum, BlackFire or Zaino before using an abrasive polish.
