Polish break down stages

Ditto oekundar : great thread - I often did wonder what people's impression of Menz polishes being "broken down" actually meant. :D

blkyukon what type of pads did you use with IP and FP? Meaning type of brand?

I believe he uses LC pads (or at least did back then). Also, I believe they are the 6.5" pads (yes, they work!). You can find his website here: Paintcare & Detailing - Enthusiasts guide to detailing

The website above has a bunch of great information and videos on it. It's a shame Charles doesn't post here more often. He's an amazingly talented detailer.

Question, i have been trying to post a thread but wont seem to go thru. A little but offtopic but, I am using a white smart pad with m205 to remove light swirls and scratches. i put the PC at speed 1 and used it until the m205 was translucent, wiped away and it looked good, but the pad was blue (my car is blue) is this normal?

i decided to stop for the day and check with you guys. After i use that i was planning on using 501 then 111 and then S100 carnuba wax. Is this good or should i take something out.

Thanks

Alex

I did use LC pads 6.5 w/flex but did not get the same glare of polish on my car. My LC were rock hard even after making them software with a little water.

It's like his pads are more softer and flexible.
