Poliseal has carnuba in it?

I bought some poliseal because I thought it was a sealant and could be layered with something like KSG. When the bottle arrived, I read on the label that it has carnuba wax in it. I tried layering KSG anyway but go no results in terms of slickness the following day. What products have you had luck with when topping poliseal? And is it sun friendly? Thanks.

Yeah I think the whole optimum line is very sun friendly, but havnt tried it myself. I topped it with meguires #26 yellow wax and it went on very easy and it looks really nice and the water beads up like crazy, I've never seen water act like that before!. what is KSG?

Anyways, try something like the #26..

You can use either Optimum Opti-Seal or Jeff Werkstatt's Acrylic Jett Trigger over Poli-Seal with excellent results.

Or any other product containing Nuba content.....As noted, sealants wont sit very well, unless they (nubas) have had some exposure time..

I have used Megs #21 over PoliSeal numerous times without issues .. some of the cars are going on 6 weeks or better and beading as normal. #21 goes on/off with ease over it.

I second the OS over Poliseal. I did a Dodge Durango last week, owner just wanted me to wash, clay and seal. The clay (blue clay magic) pulled so much crap out of the top and hood - while it was smooth and slick, it didn't have a ready for LSP look to me. I applied Poliseal via PC - LC white pad, followed by OS, the guy was so happy with the result, he gave me a window AC for my garage as a tip!

Thanks guys. Well, I'm not really sure where to go from here. Optiseal sounds like the best option and I think I'll try that. Do you guys consider any carnuba waxes to be sealants? Colonite 845 or OCW?

I am a big fan of the optimum line.

OCW works well over Poli-Seal too. I usually use OCW or a nuba paste. I've used PB's EX over it too without any problems.
