PO85RD Question.

I just got some po85rd. I was wondering how long you have to work it in. ON the bottle it says work it until its shinny. I couldn't get it that way, i just worked it in till it was dull then wiped it off.
 
Depends on the degree of the marring or defects you're removing. The nice thing about it is that you can work it in without it drying or dusting up. I usually just work it in, remove some of it to see how it's coming along, add a little more if necessary and continue, or finish up the wipe down if the defects are moved. Don't forget to do an IPA wipe down afterwards.

(with foam) After making 1 pass to spread the polish, use it at Full Blast. And move your pad slow with medium pressure. Within 3-4 passes you'll notice the product begins to go clear(er). That means the abrasives have mostly broken down and you can slow your speed/pressure for a few more passes and then yor're done. 85RD breaks down alot faster with Meg's MicroFiber pads, but can leave hazing on soft clears.

I haven't tried 85RD on the Meg's MF pads yet, do you recommend using the cutting pads or the finishing pads (or does it not make any difference in how it finishes down)?
 
I've only used 85rd with the finishing disks so I can't say for sure. Even though I've had good results with 85rd on correction jobs, I tend to use 85rd for finishing (hence the finishing pad). I suggest taping off the MF finished side and comparing it to one used with the finishing foam. You might be surprised depending on the paint softness.
