Plugging PC into your Car?

You can buy 500w power inverters, but whether the car's battery or alternator can keep it up for very long is the question... :nixweiss
 
I wouldn't hook anything stronger than 3 amps up to your car. That is a lot of strain on the alternator. Its better if you get a portable power generator or something like that for a PC. You can operate some small vacuums with a power converter but that is about as far as I would go.
