Jeeze, if you really want to know just penny up for a some CG or beg a forum member to send you some and compare it. I promise you that its the same. Its really not that hard, besides look at the other evidence..

I use Zaino on the majority of my customers cars, as well as Menzerna, Meguiars Pinnacle, Zymol, P21S, and Chemical Guys

I plan on getting some, but whos to say other than price that Adams isnt manfucturing for CG lol.

I also use most of the products you mentioned

You seam to know your stuff very well, i apperciate your insite, i dont have any experence with cg but i can say adams has great customer service.

I should preface that I didn't write that but another member of CF did. Shortly after that thread reached 90 replies, Adam's website went down for reconstruciton.

There customer service is very good...

I don't know the truth, I only have my opinions what I have heard... but you tell me..

Go to Instafinish which is a distributor for CG (Warner Chemical) in Australia. Then go to adams polishes. Look at the logo of their hotrod on both sites, identical. Also, instafinish used the same hotrod on there labels until recently. It should further be noted that instafinish does NOT deny the relationship between Warner Chemical and themselves..

Also, Instafinish, CG, and Adams all have similarly named products such as Buttery Wax, Buttery Wet Wax, Butter Wax (depending on the seller). I should also note that in my personal experience Adam's Butter Wax smells the same/looks the same/feels the same/removes the same/leaves the same gloss/smells the same as CG's Butter Wax.

The In and Out Detail Spray was also identical in use/scent/slickness/ect as CG's detail spray.

Lastly, before they updated their site, Adam's product descriptions where identical to CG's.

It's surprising to me that Instafinish is same as CG's/Warner Chemical because except for a couple of products, the rest are not the same colour as the products on the CG's US website

Theirs nothing on IF's site that I would want to buy anyway.

Adams products are also in Australia as well, same as IF, nothing to excite me at all

Chemical Guys is the distributor for Warner Chemical. If Adam's was manfucturing for the distributor of one of the largest detailing manufactors in the world..... Still doesn't expain why other compaines use the "Adams" label thru Warner Chemical...

A lot of people here would be pretty shocked at how many companies do not make their own products. Also, many brands, even very large names, work with contract blenders to blend and package product that have the investment in the specialized equipment needed for blending certain types of products. I have been watching here to see how people discuss the products they use and can see which companies have the best marketing as people have rock solid belief in what the company says is happening to the surface with the use of the products. The industry has exploded and the marketing claims get even crazier (feeding the paint...good lord). If you are looking to distribute a product, make sure they have solid marketing and good brand image. You must be confident with the marketing and the performance of the product. If you are getting iffy on the choice you have made before you have jumped in, I would find another product. Just a thought.

This thread reminds me of the story on how a religious guy ignores the weather report, the guy with the boat, and the helicopter and drowns in a flood. :heelclick No offense BlwnSaleen, just found some similarities.

Im not religious, but can you tell me how many of your suppliers have invited you and friends to his home and fed you with beer and great food? Not taking sides here just saying Adam is a class act guy, and he promotes his bussiness better than any one i have ever seen, that why i want to get on board with him.

At 2006, 2007 Corvettes at Carlise, Adam personally invited all users and non users and meguires detail team to his house for drinks and food, free of charge, hes a class act guy, thats the type of person i want to do bussiness with. I learned a long time ago that price inst everything, but customer service and decadication is.

A little off topic, but I want to know if any fellow SoCal folks knows the answer to this.

Every now and then, my wife and I go to the Orange County "swap meet" at the OC fairgrounds. Every time I've been there, I see an Adam's booth. I was just wondering if this was actually Adam's that was selling or just an authorized distributor/reseller of Adam's?

I don't think it is Adam at the swapmeet. I think its different distributors and resellers that switch off working the swap meet. I was there 2 months ago and it was a bunch of kids that said they work for Adams but then I was there 2 weeks ago and it was a distributor/reseller I had never seen there before.

I agree with a lot of what you said, for sure. As spoiled says, from the angle you are approaching this, you have alread made up your mind.

My only counterpoint (just for arguements sake :D ) is that if you believe Adam to be a stand up guy, then how do you feel knowing that his misleading his buyer's and distributors (if the CG is true, which evidence strongly bears out, IMO)?

Sounds like you already have your mind made up. :)

Yes, just wondering where the stuff came from lol

Ill still use other products, but for what i do, selling to the average joe and car show goers, Adam's is perfect, there DVD is great at explaning and there product is easy to use.

Us purebreads, always come up with our own formulas, ill never stick to just one product thats no fun!

Well i sent him an e-mail asking, so thus far he hasent mislead me, and whos to say hes misleading his distributors? For all we know they could all know! He just might have asked them to keep it confedincial. Which is understandable

On a second note my spelling is horrible

My spelling is horrible as well...

Good luck in your new venture!

LOL. I have stated this and others have a long time ago. A lot of stuff is not made by company X Y or Z. At times they can modify a belnd for a certain performance, more shine, easier on off ect...

Adams, lol more marketing.

It seems to me that purpose of his question was not to find who is making Adam's but to heap praises on Adam's, whether they stand the lacmus test or not.

Like i stated in my thread numerous times, the purpose was merly to find out who was producting it.
