Please Ron....

JustJesus- Yeah..IMO a whole lot of it is just bragging rights, like guys who buy Ceramic Brake packages but never approach the limits of the regular setup. "Mine`s bigger" comes to mind...

All joking aside, there are a whole lotta potent vehicles in the hands of incompetent drivers these days.

The VDI study showed that the "average driver" loses control at ~40% of a vehicle`s capability, and for "car guys", including those who do Track Days/Driving Schools/etc. the number was ~60% (note that the minimum "handle the situation" requirement was 80%). People can`t drive worth a [darn] and yet they buy vehicles they`re, uhm... unsuited to handle. When a vehicle has high limits, and a person loses it at 40-60% of those limits, the results can be terrible.

I agree with this, and any car with over 300hp/300tq is too much for the street and the average American average driver. I also think that we need to have more strict mandates when it comes to getting a drivers license, thus why I think a `driver mod` is the best modification that can be made to a vehicle. I`ve had so many people that do not even know what oversteer and understeer mean, and how to theoretically correct them. Since when did vehicles become rolling computers with wifi, bluetooth, massaging seats, and video players, what happened to actually focusing on driving? Why does a steering wheel have to have 20 buttons on it, why can`t it just have one for the horn?

As far as mustangs are concerned, the majority of Mustangs do not have built suspensions. IME, I`ve driven a Fifth gen GT500 set up (chassis and drivetrain) for 1KHP, but punching out close to 750hp, that suckers butt did not move unless intended. I have also driven many more fifth gens with stock suspension and drivetrains, in every single one of them, the rear ALWAYS comes around, even the V6`s. This leads me to believe that the cause for mustangs having too much of a waggily tail, is from 1) an open diff, 2) An iron beam for a rear axle, 3) the rear suspension bushings, 4) alignment 5) rear tire type. Yeah, are there some bucket heads that rope their Mustangs into crowds, you bet, but it is not entirely their fault.

**Disclaimer, I`m not supporting Mustang drivers in any way. All hooning should be done in well controlled environments, like a race track.

If you can use your blinker for its intended purpose, know that blinker fluid is a fallacy, and actually pay attention to the road, you`re above average:)

Ah nothing to worry about, a quick 2 step polish and some chilled spray and gloss and Ron would have that looking like new. :rofl

Good Point, Accumulator.

So does that mean I am an above average driver, or below average intelligence????

You came back from The Tail of the Dragon in one piece, right? B)

Last Saturday I saw Ron pulled out of the Car Show during 5 miles a hour. Bet it took him all night to get home....
