please reccomend good paint cleaner

I am looking for a paint cleaner to use pre waxing sealing. I have used mothers paint cleaner which leaves the paint so smooth like it was clayed. the problem is it is such a pita to remove! I got p21 cleansing lotion but i swear it isnt strong at all.



Im looking for a paint cleaner that will leave a nice slick finish like the mothers but not hard to remove. thanks
 
You can consider Prime Strong from Jeffs Werkstatt, easy to use and leave a nice slick finish too.
 
Is #83 more of a polish than a cleaner? If you were going to use it as a cleaner what pad would you use? I would assume a white polishing pad?

Did you let it dry on the car? Don’t.



When using a cleaner, work it in and wipe it off immediately, while it’s still wet. They do their job as you’re rubbing.

I don’t think #83 falls into the boutique category, more of a specialty commercial product.



drg, bigfoot’s right about cleaner/waxes working well too. You would let a cleaner/wax dry on the paint (to maximize waxing effectiveness). But you’d work it down until only a very, very fine, almost imperceptible film is left. Then it will come off easily.

On Meg’s scale it rates a 6, a moderately strong cleaner. They base the scale on rotary use though, by PC it going to be substantially milder.
