Hey guys, I am about to apply DWG in the next 30minutes or so. I've read every thread on it on this forum.

It is a product I don't want to waste, but I don't want to not get the full effects from fear of 'wasting it' -- So I will use what I use :)

Anyhow,.. My question. It says to 'work into the paint'.

I have a PC (really a UDM), and MF applicators and foam applicators --

If I do it by hand, A) Do I have to rub and rub until it turns clear? Or what?

B) If by hand will it look as 'good' as using a PC(udm) ?

If I use my UDM will it look *better than just wiping it on like a wax by hand? IE: Will the UDM buffing it in work better?

Also , if using a UDM -- Can I accidentally remove the DWG while applying it? I don't want to buff it in and then buff it out as well hehe..

I guess how will I know both when applying it by hand, or UDM when to stop? Also, which will give better results,.. Hand or UDM?

Thanks! (Will be watching for replies.. hope one of you 85 viewers will respond)

Yes you can apply it by hand however you may very well use more product by applying by hand.

Basically you want to apply it like a wax. Really thin and spread it out with a few passes over each area. You want it to look like the surface is covered in a greasy oily smudge. So thin that you can only see an extremely thin residue left on the surface. By the time you've done the whole car 5-10 minutes then you can start buffing off the residue by hand.

Id personally apply it with a finishing pad on your UDM. You will not remove it as you apply it as it will remain a liquid for a few minutes. A glaze will benifit more than a wax from being worked in by the udm.

TTWAGN, thanks -- I've sent you a PM -- But if you read this instead:

You say apply it with UDM in 5-10mins really thin. This sounds like an exact procedure of applying NXT 2.0 liquid.

In that case its not worked in,.. it is just put 'on' the paint.

So when do I work it in the paint? For how long with the UDM?

Say I'm doing a 2x2 area with the DWG with UDM on speed 4 -- How long do I need to go over the area? And when do I know, ok its worked in , and I should stop and move on?

I'm still curious about the work in of the DWG. I've applied it via UDM, and gray pad. I can tell its on, but it isn't dramatic. So I'm letting it have a little while to cure if it does.. and then going to put NXT 2.0 on, see how that looks, then another coat of the DWG by *hand* --

I think by working into paint it just means to rub it a little bit, not really buff.

The UDM would buff it clear in a split second,.. which is the reason I'm gonna go by hand with it after the NXT 2.0 by hand. I just don't like the rotary's with LSP's.. its a personal thing, I can get exact coverage by hand, and LSP's are very easy to apply either way.

After the NXT 2.0 goes on, should I wait any amount of time for the final coat of DWG,.. or slap it right on after I buff off NXT 2.0?
