please help!!

I have been doing some detailing on my car the past couple months, trying out different products and different wash methods. Its an 07 and hasnt needed a claying..... UNTIL NOW!!!!! after this week, something happened and my paint is just sooo rough. I bought some mcguires clay just b/c it was quick to access. It wont take any of this stuff off. Any ideas of what is Wrong?? So sorry for the long post.

Maybe it's paint overspray and you may need a more aggressive clay. Road Tar? Road Paint?
 
Pictures won't help. im not saying you are wrong, there is just nothing to see. Even under a halogen. it is just a very rough surface. maybe tree sap?? hard water spots?? the car is black, so maybe there is something to see, but you just cant b/c of the color. idk, its just really making me mad, b/c i dont want to wax over this stuff, but the longer i wait to apply some lsp.... you know, bad things happen.
 
That's kind of weird that you can feel it but you can't see it, not even in a super close up shot??



Anyways, try some adhesive remover or goo gone and try to cut it that way, maybe that will loosen it up enough to remove it with the clay.



You may want to step up to a more aggresive clay like ClayMagic Blue Clay but you'll get some marring and need to polish that out. At least the crud will be gone.....hopefully.
 
Okay, do you think that Sonus gray would be more aggressive than the mcguires?? like i said i know nothing about clay yet, due to the fact that i have never had to use it. So, speak slowly. hahaha. Im gonna see if i can get a close up pic and to view it that way.
