Now that I finally have a garage to work in, I can finally give our cars the TLC they deserve. My wife bought me a 7424xp for my birthday, now I need to buy the rest of the supplies.
I have a red 2000 Jeep Cherokee that I intend to work on first to get comfortable with the PC. My car is a black Cobalt SS that has been treated by hand with zaino products the last few years. It has some minor marring and needs some help. The last car is my wife's brand new white Mazda 6.
The Jeep and the Cobalt both are in need of a light paint correction. The Jeep is actually in surprisingly good condition. The mazda will just be getting a sealant.
I need some pads, a cutting compound, a finishing compound, and a sealant/wax. What type of products would you recommend to start off with? I'd be willing to purchase different sealants for the black and white cars to get a better finish. The jeep I'm not worried about looking great, but I want the Cobalt and Mazda to look as good as possible.
I'm looking at some orange, green, and red LC pads and some Megs 105 and 205. When it comes to the final product I have no idea what to get. Of course I am open to other options as well....hence why I'm posting this.
Also, how many ounces of product do you figure are needed for a typical sedan?
Thanks for the input!
