yesterday one of my friends was cleaning his engine outside with Engine brite (heavy Duty engine degreaser) it was quite windy and my car parked right next to his, the wind blew the spray and it mostly went on my hood, now today after a wash i see these little dots i mean tiny dots, looks like overspray,i tried rubbing it off, no luck now im worried if would never come off, is it permenant? and my other promblem is that while washing the car i found a big bird bomb, i washed it off, and it left a big etch mark, i tryed using scratch x but no luck. i have a detail appointment setup for this week, and im hoping these two things would come off :waxing:. i hope. :nixweiss

I don't think a degreaser can be all that harmful. Try clay or solvent or something along those lines. I would actually worry more about the bird droppings because they are so acidic. They have to be removed promptly to minimize damage. The damage can be removed with a compound. Try something medium on the abrasive scale such as Menzerna IP or Optimum Compound.

Degreasers can be real bad for paint, but I think that one isn't. I've seen purple power dissolve (non-clear costed) paint. I think the overspray dots will come out with any mild abrasive or AIO-type cleaner. Be prepared for the bird bomb to be permanent. They can etch down to the primer and that one doesn't look good. I may be wrong, just judging based on the pictures.
