Please check out my website

I just recently put this website together. Since I wasn't sure if I'd like it or not I just went with the free version that has banner ads. Eventually I can upgrade to one without the ads. I am still relatively new to detailing but wanted to have a site so that people who get my flyers or business cards could go to the website and see some pics of my work. Thanks in advance for any advice.

Hey Brad,

Nice site but you may want to reduce those pictures down a bit as they take forever to come up. Also on your "pictures" page the first photo of the Honda is not loading up.

Good job and good luck,

Anthony

Nice site, however..I def would not recommend a tripod site, there is better free hosting out there.

Oh yeah, on the price list the print is kind of blurry, try a different font.

IMO the picture quality gets poor when you enter in the specific size of the picture when it is bigger/smaller. if anyone knows what i mean, anyways i think you should resize the pictures to a smaller size than the borders

Consider using a mission statement or saying something about yourself on your home page. What you want to convey to the prospective client is that you offer a service that stands above your competitors. I also agree with Jeeper about Tripod.

Otherwise, I like the car care tips. I think this is helpful to the uninformed.

You do nice work but either your pictures need to be compressed more or Tripod has very slow servers because my modem was practically smoking trying to load the pictures. Overall, nice layout and your prices seem in line for Oklahoma. Cost of living is so low up there!

Web hosting really isn't that expensive. I'm paying $19.95 a month through www.ait.com and it only cost me $39.95 to register my domain name for 5 years.

Towards the bottom on your "extra" services, I would explain (in a few words) what clay is good for or does:

Clay $20 removes surface contaminents such as rail dust.

Thanks guys for all your comments. They are all very helpful. I really appreciate you taking the time to look at my site. Sounds like I need to reduce my pictures to make them load quicker. I was just judging it based on my set-up which is dail-up. If there is a good file size to shoot for just let me know, otherwise I'll just keep trying until it gets faster. I will also add a mission statement.

Thumper - thanks. the Suburban engine detail took about 45 min.

BTW until I decide to pay for web service, could you guys give any names of free services that are better than Tripod?

Thanks again,

Brad

personally the advertisements detract from your page. overall it looks good but the banners are distracting and I even got a popup on one of the pages. I just put up a new site on www.1and1.com and they are giving away 3yrs of free hosting, until january, and no, banners, or popups. I switched from the hostgroup.com about 3 weeks ago and have been pleased with their service.
