On one of the Hot Rod programs on TV yesterday they had a detailing section on detailing the clear plastic, ie headlight covers.

They were using Mothers plastic Polish and said it takes out small scratches, puts a protective layer on it and keeps it from yellowing.

Looks like a good idea and have been trying to find some here today with no luck.

BTW the show car they detailing was Forrests PT Cruiser who posts here all the time and it sure looked good.

j/k lol..

anyways, for the headlights/tailights, i love the meguiars mirror glaze 2-step cleaner/polish. they work wonders!!

#17 Clear Plastic Cleaner- Takes out scratches.

#10 Clear Plastic Polish-Restores Optical clarity and provides protection.

Not saying they are the absolute best but I like them.

Available at Napa

I hear Plexus plastic polish/protectant is the best stuff... it's the only product they use on the canopy of the B2 bomber. I bought a care package for my bro's 2002 Dark Blue GTI

303 Aerospace Protectant

Plexus Plastic Care

Zymol Carbon Wax

Do you think #17 would be to harsh on instrument/ speedo plastic?

I have light scratches on the plastic that annoy me every time I check my speed!

Cheers
