What's a good product for polishing plastic headlight units?? consider price, how many cars per bottle and ease of use? came accross Autosol in Eastwood Company's website.

I usually use Vanilla Moose on my headlights. You can also use PB Professional Polish. Works for me.

PB Por polish is great also Novus which you can get online is about the best that I have used. It comes in 3 different strenghts, a heavy cut to a polish cut

Mequairs Scratch X did a great job on a set of 93 Caddilac taillights I put in my Chevy pu rool pan. It cleaned them up, polished them and got rid of minor imperfections. And, it's available at your friendly Auto Zone...or whatever.

Poorboys SSR's do a great job on plastic that needs working. Great stuff. ALL his products work great!

I recently used 3M Plastic Cleaner and Plastic Polish on my 10 year old Van - tail light covers and all other plastic including the bug shield which also is 10 years old and they look new again. I used very little material and the results were awesome. I don't recall what the price was but for both (8 0z. each) I'm sure it was under $10 and should go along way. It was very easy to use rub-on and rub-off. I got these at Murray's Discount Auto not sure where you live but AutoZone may have it.

I used metal polish and Plexus on this 87 Mustang:

Works better then the Novus 3 step I had been using.

Yeah i usually stick some kind of polish on them playing around just to see what happens. Although if they arent in too bad of shape and just need a lil touchingup, i use plexus - it works great!!

Would any old metal polish work, do you think? Is this the same stuff you would use on your tailpipe?

by hand or PC with a polishing pad? any metal polish? where can I find Plexus?

plexus is usually in the convertible top care section of whatever online detail store you're browsing. it would shock me if our DC sponsors didn't carry it ....

I used Clearkote metal polish on those, but people have used others with the same results

I did those with a PC and a white CMA pad, low speed. I've also done some others by hand with good results, though. Just remember not to generate heat when polishing or it might cloud the plastic.

where can I find Plexus?
