Looking for some good advice on getting my headlights looking new again, just tried an orange pad and some menzerna power gloss. No real noticeable difference. Any help from the pros? TIA
Try wetsanding and then polishing. Start with 400 grit and work up to at least 1500. Then polish with an aggressive polish (HTEC or M105), then finish up with PlastX or Menzerna PO105FF or similar.
Just looking to spend some time in the garage.......let me see if I can make the headlights on the E55 look better. A bit pitted but not real bad, I thought I could get them to "shine."
Tried orange pad and supergloss then........
wet sanded per above.........
orange and supergloss again...........
white pad and IP.........
white pad and FPII...................
Pics are kinda tough to take and get the true conditions, but the first pic is untouched left hand light.................
this is after about 30 mins of work on the right hand light.................not exactly a tremendous turn around, but I did get outta the house for a bit
Finished up both sides and they are nice and smooth now, just not getting the super clear look I was hoping for. I would guess that would be inherent for plastic lights?
