Windshield mirror glue. $5 at most any Zone or Checker.

Usually you can find a kit for rear views, they are $7.99 CAD so you should be able to find one thats cheap near you

ok..just use the stuff I mentioned...same stuff is used to glue the reciever antennea on with..just clean the glass good as said...you should be fine....do not use a ton of glue...just a few dabs and spread it around to cover the back of the plate..like wax ..spread thin..a little goes a long ways...
