Plan for detailing

Hello!

I'm new to the forums, and gearing up for my first detail, been reading up here for several weeks. I don't really have alot of experience. I have some products on order which should arrive soon (i hope!) I think I may have went a bit nuts ordering .. .i have a fair number of things coming in. please advise, thanks!

I am planning the following process

- Wash with Griots car wash

- Clay with Sonus (gray) - paint and glass

- use mothers rubber and tire cleaner on exterior rubber, tires

- use AIO on hard plastic, also will have plexus, might try it

I will be getting optimum polish and also lake orange, white, and black finishing pads (and PC). Also, SSR1. Swirls on my car aren't bad so I think maybe:

- Optimum with white pad

- SSR1 with white pad (maybe, if optimum isn't good enough by itself, i'm thinking to use this as a finishing polish before wax)

oh .. also will use 3M green tape to tape off trim

Now, I'm confused if I should apply AIO before the polishing or after. on one hand, i thought AIO would clean the paint better for polishing (can there still be dirt that gets caught under while polishing (even after claying)?). on other hand, aio leaves some acrylic base?

for wax process -

- UPP with black pad, maybe 2 layers depending how it does

i'm going to keep it simple for this first time

( i have opt. spray wax coming in, but heard this doesn't really add much?)

for rims, i have griot's wheel cleaner, i think i will try hand polishing with opt. and hand apply UPP

use PB trim restorer on exterior trim/tires (is it good for tires?)

for glass i should have stoners glass cleaner

ok, thats the exterior. for interior i don't have a lot. i'm going to use PB diluted apc on fabric/carpet/dash. dress with PB natural look, and PB leather stuff.

well .. thats it i think, thanks for reading all that!

I would tell you to apply AIO after you polish. Just use a lighter pad. Wait for a few more responses before you actually do it.

Everything else looks okay. I cant really comment on the polish pads and actual polish cause i havent experimented with them yet. But i can say that PB Natural Look is a great product to use.
