pinstripe removal

I've got a customer who wants to remove pinstripes from his 99 Suburban. The vehicle is white. I have never done this before does anyone have any pointers. I was thinking about using 3M Adhesive Remover and a lot of patience.

Thanks,
Rob

You may want to try gentle heat, hot air gun or a hair dryer. If it starts to come off, just keep going, then clean up with adhesive remover and then polish. If you can't get the stripe to peel it may be clearcoated over the pinstripe.

Good luck!

Bigblue,

Redondo it right, use a blowdryer and slowly peel back the pinstriping, if you don't have adhesive remover you can get away with using WD-40 for removing the remaining adhesive. I have been told mineral spirits works well too.

There may be a color difference under where the pinstriping was due to the fact that it was not exposed to the elements :dunno

Good Luck
