Pinnacle Souveran worth the price?

People dont look at it like that...You can say that about anything though? Do you use the best cleaner on your counters? How about lawn care? Its just the way of life.

70 bucks, for that price it better put itself on, lol. Is it worth the $ ?

I called Jon at CMA back in 2002, price the same as today, and requested that he sell me a jar for "cost" to try out. He did. $35 plus shipping.

You do the math.

You dont think all products that we use are marked up that much? How much do you think it costs to manufacture a foam pad?

That was not the question.

In terms of appearance differential, if any (very subjective and prep dependent), no, the price doesn't warrant or deserve such a mark-up over less priced comparable products.

Nothing else has ever given the Jag's weird single stage metallic lacquer quite the same look as Souveran, and it's my choice for that car because I just *love* that specific look on that specific vehicle. That said...

IMO if somebody has to think for even a moment about spending that kind of money for a wax, then *NO* it's not worth it.

...in your opinion. :)

Isn't this whole thread full of opinions?

:idea

But.... do not forget that about a month ago one could purchase Souveran for $50 (2 for $99).

A bit closer to the $35 I paid than the normal price. :chuckle:

I have been using PS21 on 2004 black Porsche 911 and it looks great. Someone talked me into spending $70 on Souveran, telling that there is nothing in this world like it on dark cars.

Well, I can tell you all, that after several uses, that is nonsense. I cannot tell the difference between them, even when I do half a hood with one and the other half with the other.

In fact, I have found with with respect to waxes, there are many equals, term of looks.

Durability is another story.

All of this is just personal opinion. I hate raw claims.

Have a nice day.

+ 1 on the above post, I just did my friends Grand Cherokee and applied Collinite IW on one half of the hood and Natty's on the other half, the differences are minimal..if any. I honestly think I would be just lieing to myself if I said I could really see a difference, feeling wise the Natty's was a little slicker but thats where the differences stopped for me. So to me I can't justify the high prices of these baller waxes.

In my experience side by side on a hood usually doesn't show much, sometimes a little. You need to apply to the entire car, then try another wax on the same car at a different time. Sure, perception plays a part in it, but you eventually come up w/a favorite. I have, literally, 50+ sealants and waxes, and I always use the same one on my car in the summer because *I* like it best.

I just added a coat of PS and spit shined with liquid PS ......... Yep woth the price for "ME" and "MY" car as stated above a opinion....

IMO only on dark cars. I have silver and Nattys Blue looks just as good.

Have you tried regular Nattys? IMO, the reg nattys looks even better on silver than the NB does.

Souveran was the very first wax I on put on my 1999 Harley back in 1999. Today it looks better than new. 70 dollar protection and shine for my $30,000 bike. Yeah, I just bought another two jars. Probably the best thing I have purchased for it. I did put Pete's 53 and Poor Boys NB on my wifes dark blue mini van and they both look real nice. Just not nice enough to put on my ride.

Its "only" $63 at detailcity if you use the "heatwave" coupon code for 10% off their sale price of $70

I only have a silver car or else I'd give it a try =(
