Pinnacle Souveran on red paint

Dr Groove

Happy Motoring !
I know that Pinn Souveran is great to use on blacks and reds.

Question: Can multiple layers be added to deepen the look, or is the max 2 coats?

Thanks

The jury is still out on layering waxes. Due to the solvents in a wax it is possible that all layering accomplishes is blending two layers together and not actually increasing the amount of wax on the surface. If you want to see big differences with layering then I would suggest getting some Wolfgang and putting 3 coats of that on your car. Top that Wolfgang with some Souveran and it looks even better. I wouldn't waste carnauba by trying to layer it. Especially $70 dollar carnauba. The improvement isn't worth the cost of the layer IMO.

I start out in the spring on my red truck with two coats of the Wolfgang's sealant, then I use the Souveran the rest of the summer (I'm waxing everytime I wash).

I've done as much as four to six coats of the Souveran, and I have to say that after two or three, the difference is almost nil to none. Of course you might think there is a slight difference, but your mind is going to want to tell you that! :)

But on my red truck, I have no more favorite combo than these two.

I find after three you are wasting your time unless the time lapse in between is longer. However many coats Souveran give an awesome shine.
