Pinnacle Souveran: Any comments and is it really worth the price?

Price isn't really an issue at this moment because I already have some Souveran on the way. The thing is, is it really that awesome of a product?

I plan on using it on my Mustang which is not a daily driver and also on any other vehicles I detail that may want that special touch. But at 69.99 reg. price is it really worth it?

Any opinions or comments?

Although I have never used it, I have heard that it is very greasy and not worth the money based on the "refined" Ivory caranuba theory. For what I have seen on other cars Poorboys Natty's Caranuba and Top of the Line's Pizazz and Trade Secret are the best caranuba's I have seen. But, for one who hasn't tried it I feel trite offering other suggestions, though the suggestions have seen proven results. If Souveran is what you are going to get I suggest you PM' Labster for the Ferrari 550 he did looked as though Rossa Corsa paint had been poured on it!

Hope this helps,
Andew

I've personally never used another wax that compares to Souveran. The smell, the ease of use, buffs off streak-free, and more importantly, the finish just looks incredible. Signature Series comes close, but Souveran is just the best IMO.

I really think everyone one should at least try Souveran once. On dark colors it looks amazing. I know it sounds a bit cliche, but it really does make black look like your staring into a pool of water. Of course, there are many very good carnubas that come close, but if money is no option and you have a dark colored car, there really is only one Souveran.

LMAO, ^^^^^ this post sounds like a commercial or something. Sorry, but this stuff is really nice on dark colors.

well ive used the liquid version which is much cheaper. i dont exactly know why it would be cheaper but hey maybe its not as much product. the liquid version is very milky which makes the application of the wax very easy. like many have said "on and off like butter". the removal of the liquid version is so easy i think even the car duster could buff it off (j/k but it really is that easy). the finish on my car looked awesome. felt like it was buffed with baby oil. SUPER SLICK. my car looked really really wet and it was really clear. the shine lasted 3 weeks or so and it beaded for a month (not giving it a chance because i ended up trying out a new combo on it). the beading were very small. it looked like little micro ball bearings all by each other with 4 millimeters of clearance. i have not tried nattys or other carnubas like that but i assume they're great too. all in all going by what people say on the boards i say souveren is a show car wax and not a good choice when looking for protection when looking for long lasting protection but when a product like this is soo easy to apply i dont see why u wouldnt wanna wax every week if not day. (again im jk but i really do think its easy to apply)

To me Souveran Paste is worth it. No other wax that I've tried made my car look as deep and wet as Souveran Paste. In my opinion for an even better look try Liquid Souveran over the paste. It keeps it's deep and wet look while adding more clarity. This spring I'm going with a Natty's over Souveran Paste look.

Souveran Paste is a very nice wax. It can be worth the extra money, but IMHO it depends upon the color of the paint and the environmental conditions faced by the vehicle. I've tried Souveran Paste on a variety of colors and found that it makes a dramatic difference on very dark colors. Medium and light colors did not seem to benefit as much, if at all. Souveran Paste is also extremely easy to use, though a few others are equally simple. Souveran's main weak points are its dust magnet properties and its somewhat short durability. These factors may not be an issue with garage queens or in areas with mild environments (no industrial fallout, road salt, high temperatures, etc.).

Despite the high price, I would have a jar of this wax on hand if I regularly detailed dark colored, garage kept cars. If you keep an eye open for discount offers, you can pick up jars of Souveran for much less than full retail pricing.

I have the Trade Secret, which I like very much and the LIquid Souveran and the Souveran paste. I prefer the Souveran over the Trade Secret because it is the look I prefer. I find the Souveran easier to remove as well.

For me, the Souveran, especially so the paste, is my favorite. I have a Dark Navy blue car and a red truck, so it's my wax of choice.

As to the combo of Liquid Souveran and then the paste, yep - it's a very nice combo and slightly different from just one or the other.

I've also tried the trade Secret/Souveran combo and it's a slightly different look too. It's a nice combo. But my favorite would be the Liquid/paste Souveran combo.

I've tried several Souveran wax combos (Trade Secret, Natty's, S100, CMW, LS). The only combo I liked with Souveran Paste was Liquid Souveran. Every other combo I tried left me feeling like I had compromised the best features of each wax.

Excellent responses. I am really looking forward to trying it. Durability is no big deal just because it will be used on my garage queen. I am really looking for that "head turning" finish.
