Pinnacle Paste Glaz

Tassadar

Car Detailing Whore
I have been looking at ordering a tin of this product to use on the white and silver cars in my household. I am considering using it over EX to acheive just a bit more pop. Is this overkill? Will it have problems bonding?

Thanks in advance.

Also, how does this wax compare to the likes of P21S? I know P21S is very versatile when it comes to colors, but Paste Glaz prefers the lighter colors.

I have Souvran and Glaz....
Souvran & s100 for dark
Glaz for Silver and light cars.....

I haven't use'd it in a while....i find AIO and UPP to be just grand on light color cars...

Well the surface will allready have PB's EX on it. Im jsut wondering if its worth the $25 to get the Paste Glaz.

The car is definately VERY white.

Tass,

I have the Trade Secret, which to my knowledge is the same product as the PPG. We tried some on my sons white Sport Trac, which already has P21S on it, and really couldn't tell much of a difference. Probably a slight edge to the P21S...... but you had to look pretty hard. Now, on my Dark Shadow Gray SuperCrew, I actually like the Trade Secrect a little better than the P21S. On my wife's black CRV, Souveran is the champ!

Like Jeff said, UPP, or any other "optically clear" sealant is tough to beat on white!

Both. PPG has an amazing effect on silver and beige coloured cars. P21S is good for all around use but sometimes you need the right product for the job. On silver and those other light metallic colours the PPG just makes the car glow. P21S is still really nice, but PPG (and TS I would assume) were formulated for light colours. Having a "do it all" product is great but there are advantages for having products that work best on specific jobs. I'd get the P21S or S100 to start with and then get some TS or PPG later when you have the money. Its worth it.

Ive noticed that P21S is rated to last at best 90 days, so I would assume you would only realistically want to use it for a topper, not as a main wax/sealant.

90 days?? Man, I can't even get some sealants to last 3 months. P21S is a 6 to 8 week product at best. I don't know any wax that is going to last longer than 8 weeks. In the summer I don't think I know of many that would survive for 6 weeks. Waxes are pretty fragile by nature. You would never want to use one as the only product on the car unless you were ok with going back every month and applying it again. In my opinion all waxes are toppers.
