Pinnacle Clay kit

I just got the Pinnacle Clay kit and I was wondering if anyone can tell me what the bottle is that it comes with. It says clay lubricant on it. I wanted to just use soap and water and save in my car for when I had to clean the car on the spot like. Any ideas?

It's a lubricant spray for the claybar. They give you that to use, but soap and water will work fine too.

:xyxthumbs Yup. I kinda liked Pinnacle's clay lube. It worked really well. Go lite on it though. You don't want to saturate your clay bar. I'd use the Pinnacle lube since you have it. Just use soap and water after that.

i save my QD for spots and such. you can mix about 1 - 1 1/2 oz car wash(i use zaino)in a 16oz spray bottle and use for lube when claying..

Actually, I wonder what the difference is between what Pinnacle sends as lube and just regular QD. I know the lube is different from their Crystal Mist because it doesn't have carnauba in it. Any thoughts? Aside from it smelling pretty good, it could just be soap and water for all I know. It is kinda soapy feeling...

What I was really looking to do it use the soap and water for the claying and use the Pinnacle stuff for QDing. I just worded my question poorly. But my concern is that the Pinnacle stuff is infact just lubricant and does not have the pizzaz to be a QD? any thoughts?

The Pinnacle seems a little soapy to work well for a QD. I don't know that it matters though. Personally I would use that for lube and get a QD that is known to have the 'pizzaz' that I was looking for. You can get a good QD just about anywhere for less than ten bucks. They don't usually sell Clay lube off the shelf though. You might want to try it both ways and see what you like better. It would be a good review for the forums. :xyxthumbs See if the Pinnacle Clay Lube works as well as product XYZ when used as a QD. Could be interesting results if its done objectivly and it works out alright.
