Hi all, 2 weeks ago I've just compounded my car to remove pimples (tiny bubbles), blemishes, acid rain etching, etc...I've never seen the OEM paint so smooth before on my 2 year old ride. However, during the last X'mas weekend, the bonnet and roof start to suffer from lots of tiny pinholes (pitting). What should I do? Can I conclude that my paintwork is a failure?
What I suspect is, those pimples were 'pushed in' or 'cut' away by the compound but beneath the clearcoat, there could be air trapped inside. Once exposing the paint under the sun, it burst and hence show up pinholes (a few of it looks like craters).
Thanks in advance.
