This is a picture using meguiar products before any knowledge of autopia.org.

Then I joined autopia.org :bow and went into the light.

I clayed my car and applied Zaino.

My car had 5 layers of Z2 and 1 of Z5.

I used P21S to top after the layers. That's my son in his 8th birthday.

This weeeked I applied to more Z2 layers and took pictures before topping with P21S.

Just Zaino

After topping with P21S.

You can see the red is darker and deep. I like it more this way.

Just Zaino (you will see the plastic look that Zaino creates in red cars)

I think is a great example about plasticity look from Zaino and how topping with carnouba fix the problem.

Have a nice day :wavey

Wow!! Simply awesome! We've never had a red car before, but seeing pics like that really makes me want one!

Is that your white Avalanche too? We have a black 2002 Z66 and my membership on Autopia is mainly because of it...something this big, and in all black takes some work to keep sparkling. White sure would solve all my problems (our other two cars are pure white, and much easier to maintain!).

Love that red! I use Klasse AIO & SG then top with P21S/S100, it adds depth and makes my Redrock Pearl Ody glow.

Congrats! This is the first time I've seen pictures which appear to actually show the difference between before/after a topper. I love the perfect "stars" sparkling in the 4th picture!

Those are wax brand names.

Some are saying is the same wax with different name and price. I have not try S100 yet.

P21S for many is one of the best wax you can buy. It is not cheap but It won't break the bank.

S100 you can find it in any Harley Davidson store.

P21S $25 S100 I don't know the price but I think is between 10 and 15.

Another thing :welcome to Autopia. You can find all the acronyms here http://www.autopia.org/display.php?file=acronyms.htm

:D

Fidelfs,

WOW, GREAT JOB!!:xyxthumbs

The carnuba topping does add to the depth and wet look.

As for red cars: Back of my SC430

Side: SC430 Side View

Dr Shine: Closeup, a bit bright

This is just Zaino, no wax on top.... yet! Will try my Souveran on it when I get a chance and post updated pics.

Now you have the protection of Zaino with a sacrificial layer of wax. Just keep adding the wax now and then. What QD are you going to use now it's topped? There are so many good QD's for wax.

Good luck with it!

Deanski

I am still thinking what to use for QD.

I tried Z6 and does not work good at all with wax. :down

I have ordered clearkote products to experiment with my white Avalanche. I am thinking to try quick shine from clearkote.

I'll post pictures after that.

I made another experiment and I can say that it gave the Z2 a better shine.

I used Z6 and bffing before/after Z5/Z2 layers. Well this time I didn't buff it. I sprayed the Z6 in an area of 2-3 sq. feet and then I applied the Z2. My eyes couldn't believe :shocked how great looked.

Maybe it was just a placebo effect. Who knows... :nixweiss

Fidelfs,

Great job...Awesome looking Z06.

Order ClearKote's Quick Shine...using on carnauba, You will never

look back

Very nice! I agree, that you should get ClearKotes Quik Shine. I use it with my S100 on my black car and the results are amazing. It's really incredible how much it makes it shine / look wet. :up

What is the product to use on top of zaino. I have 9 layers of Z2/Z6 on now, and it looks great. The pics of the red Lexus were sweet.

cincyspider, don't get horn-swaggled too easily. Stick with your Z2/Z6 regimen if it's working for you. Not everybody tries these innovative combinations with Zaino.

THANKS:wavey

That is my SC430 with several layers of Zaino on it. Ecru interior is a pain, but it's so nice looking. Put Armorglove on the car as it's prone to stone chipping as reported by other owners and myself after only the 1st 15 days of ownership driven on a parkway with no trucks. Best investment I made! They did a great job!

Today, I just topped it with Souveran Paste, as they claim it's great for red finishes. Well, it does look a bit better, but not a dramatic change as it was pretty good from the start. It looks a bit wetter or glossy, but not like some overwhelming rolling red pool.

Funny thing, I did it at the local car wash as I had to vacuum the carpet. Anyway, they also have detailers there doing cars quickly. As I was Z6'ing the SC430 and starting the Souveran, all these people started asking the detailers they want their car to look like my SC430! One customer just could not believe the high shine and was asking if I would do his car. I had to explain that it's not "just wax" and educated him. He's off to a pro shop to have it done right. More people viewed my SC430 and wanted same...Soon the detail crew had to ask. Zaino was my answer! Also they had to check out this site. Anyway, one of the owners asked if I could park it closer to the street where they have their sign for detailing... I said, sure, why not for a little while. Almost caused several accidents as people drove by and tried to see the car. What a day, all I wanted to do was clean the carpet and add the Souveran

You could try it, but then you have to remove the wax prior to more Zaino.

I did it to the rear trunk area seen in the pics first and then decided what the hell, I'll do the rest.

More pics to come!

OK OK after reading and seeing what Clearkote QS can do, I just ordered a whole gallon! I go through QD's a bit.

I also ordered earlier today more Megs stuff:

Final Detail-gal

DACP -gal

SWP -gal

APC+ -gal

#81 HP -32oz (oh well)

Keeping one local shop in business.. Now I was asked to do his Saleen:up

I'll have to do a side-by-side on the FD and QS.

Deanski

I cannot make up my mind between ordering the P21s or the soverign. I will however get the clearcotes QD. I use z2/z5 mostly on the Lariat F150 SuperCrew.

Cannot wait to see your differences and reccomendations!
