I have done four details using VM & WG so far this spring. I must say, regardless of some doubters here on the board that say this combo might not be compatible, I have been very happy with it so far.

So far four weeks on a 24/7 outdoor commuter car (the protoge) is still beading well says the owner. He is very happy with the results.



So on to the pics.

First my S2K. Paint is in great condition. It rarely sees any bad weather and is garage kept.

Proccess used was:

Prowax fallout remover

VM applied with PC and polishing pad

WG applied by hand.

Car #2 is a 1994 mazda protoge that sees about 80 miles per day. It was in rough shape. The following procedure was used:

prowax clear cut applied with rotary using polishing pad

VM applied by PC and polishing pad

WG applied by hand

Beautiful car!!



I put WG on top of my own '04 SSM Acura TL. I know the conventional wisdom says to put something shiny and reflective on top of silver (like Zaino) but IMHO, WG's deeper, wetter look looks great as well.

For Mother's day it was time to detail my Mother's 00 Accord.

A long winter and automatic car washes had it a bit swirled up, so I used the following:

prowax fallout remover

prowax clear cut applied by rotary and polishing pad

VM applied by PC and polishing pad

WG applied by hand

Finally I did my Delsol over this past weekend. This car sees daily duty and weekend track. It was kind of rough from a long winter so the process went;

Ya that mazda doesn't really look like that shiny paint is suitable for it. It kind of scares me that a mazda can look better than our Infiniti.

What's up with the Prowax label--is it local?

Prowax (www.prowax.com) is considered a bulk or detail shop brand, so it doesn't get much attention here on the autopia.

I've been using various products of theirs over the last few years and have been happy. I have a local distributer that I meet up with to purchase product.



As for liking the the VM/WG combo, I think it has looked better on the black cars than on the lighter blue of the S2K. Not that it doesn't look good on the S2K, but I had previously been using VM and Soft99 Authentic Premium and I think that combo had a bit more zing/gloss to it.
