If you like, click on my signature link. Once there you will see my 2001 Black BMW M5. I have always waxed and polished by hand. I have ordered a PC 6" Random Orbit. The paint is smooth but there are a few scratches that I can not feel with my finger nail. Sometimes barely visible.



What process and products would you suggest? :nixweiss

Do a search first than you can ask more specific questions. I use 3M polishes and compounds. You will need good polishing pads for the PC polisher http://properautocare.com/ has a good pad kit, that comes with a bunch of pads and a good hook and loop backing plate.



For a very light scratch or swirlmark i woud use 3M's swirl mark remover with a good foam pad and the PC polisher. When polishing with 3M's SMR start slow, speed up the polisher as you go, keep polishing until the polish starts to dry, at that point stop polishing and remove the haze with a good clean towel, a Micro fiber towel would be best.
