Picked it up last night, it's a 2005 Ford Excursion Eddie Bauer edition, 6.0L Powerstroke turbo diesel and a 5 speed automatic. Doing a full detail on it tomorrow, and yes, the dealer did detail it :(

I didn't notice any swirls though :confused:

Good thing about white is it doesn't readily show swirls.

What products are you going to use?

I like AIO + NXT on white.

Nice ride :cool: ...I love the Excursion...VERY glad he got the diesel too...It will pay off.

Another vote for AIO/NXT :)
 
Gonna wash, clay, AIO, Zaino Z2. I don't use Zaino that often, but it's kept outside so I want maximum protection.
 
Nice truck. I tried talking my dad into an Excursion over the F-150 Supercrew...no luck. Kind of glad though as his truck is too big to regularly detai, and the Excursion is even larger, LOL.
 
I was looking very closely in direct sunlight around 2 30pm, and there are absolutely no swirls. I'm positive the dealer detailed it.....is this even possible? :confused:
 
Four possibilities:

1) Dealer ran out of wool pads
2) Rotary stopped working
3) A glaze was used
4) They actually have a qualified detailer

I would like to think 4, but it is probably wishful thinking...LOL

being white, they thought they can cut corners and just dressed the tires.

No, it was definitely waxed. I even saw a small wax residue spot that wasnt completely buffed off the hood. (very tiny). Maybe this dealer has a decent detailing center? Very nice guys, that's for sure.
