This just cracks me up..LOL

I don't have any pics...but a couple of years ago, you could have caught me washing my car with an old t-shirt and drying with old bath towels. It hurts me to even admit that.

no pictures, but back in the day i was using some 10 year old cleaner wax that my dad had found in the back of the garage. then i moved on to mothers cleaner PASTE (oh wow) wax, then i moved onto the megs 3 step polish thingy for a while, and that was a lot of work by hand. then i got some turtle wax buffer for $20 that was pretty much crap. i think you were better off going by hand then using this thing. also, back then i used terry towels that i got from costco and some cotton applicators......... but that was back in the day. then i moved onto poorboys and got myself a PC, and it was smooth sailing from there.

i see you got yourself a photobucket account huh jon?

LoL... Sure do...

First set are off my friend's Acura CL. Tons of caked brake dust. According to him, he washed his car once every 2 weeks over the 5 month winter, but just hosed off the rims. I used On/Off Hull Cleaner !!! Strong shit yes, but take a look :) ...Meg's Endurance on the tires.

The thing I notice most about comparing these to my pics now it the vibrancy of color and depth of reflections I get :)

No pics of my first exterior that I did on my own but here's the first engine detail that I did. It's on my mom's old Maxima. This is back about 3 years ago I think.

believe it or not I used to use dishwashing detergent to was my 1997 dodge dakota. It was always SUPER clean. And I wondered why it never stayed slick after a couple of days :lmfao

Btw the car looks great. I often cringe at how I used to take care of my celica. Up until last year I still washed my car with a cheap foam sponge and one bucket. Ouch.... Drying was always followed by the best bath towels. Oh those were the days.

Hey Michelle! Good to see you back on here! How was the cruise?

BTW, VM + EX-P+ = bling like shine on a silver Solara, LOL.

Hey Mtodde. I had a blast with all 45 of my best friends. It was nice to have temps in the 90's compared to below temps here. Although I couldn't stop thinking about getting in another good detail in that good weather. It's official I hate winter.

Meguiars got me into detailing when they brought out the 3-step process. I was watching TV early one morning and the reviewed it. I didn't know why, but I had to have it. I used it on my then black 96 Camaro and I was astonished. I never looked back from there.

That's what I used the first five years I was into detailing. I know most of us serious detailers bash Megs some, but the Deep Crystal system is a great foundation to start with...clean the paint, polish the paint & protect the paint. People thought I was crazy for doing 3 steps 3-4 times a year & waxing monthly...now they know I'm nuts.
