Pics of ExcelDetail microfibers....

Waffle weave for drying, the better towel for buffing and quick detailer, the basic for buffing/glass/etc.

Here's a big thumbs up for the towels and for Patrick's service. I think that I might even have the basic towels, and they are excellent.

The towels from Patrick are excellent (I got the gold kit I believe). Have had mine for 6 months or so, and use them several times a week. They are still like new, even with the constant laundering. No marring and no lint. Service is excellent, too (ordered early on a Saturday, had them on my doorstep Monday).

I have not had the opportunity to use Ranney's or other's towels, although I've read they are excellent, also. You couldn't go wrong with getting towels from Patrick.

Newbie question here, sry. Im just getting into really waxing my car, and was wondering, since no place around here has mf towels, does a terry cloth towel work the same(in quality wise). Ive got some of the mothers carnauba, never waxed b4 so this weekend i think im gonna try it.

to answer that question simply, no. when i used cotton terry towels they introduced marring onto the surface of my paint, while microfiber towels leave little to no marring (black paint shows everything). if you can, go to costco and by the 12 pack of towels. i just picked up a pack the other day and the ones i got were extremely soft and plush, very comparable to ranney's towels. the only problem with them are the consistency of quality. many people have had nice towels and many people have gotten poorly made towels. but you cant beat 12 towels for $9.
