AA was reformulated years ago when they had lots of dash and vinyl cracking. It was a solvent based dressing then and solvents will extrack moisture; dry out the material;fade exterior trim causeing them to look like you waxed the trim after it wheres off. When AA changed to a water based the problem went away, but in either case, solvent or water based they both contain silcone. The original is a water based and the clear is a solvent based.ALL SOLVENT dressings WILL be refromulated again if not already. 13 states on the east coast have adopted Calif's VOC regulations as of 1-1-05 so you will see an increase in cost, also the cost of silicone has gone up drasticly so tack on another increase thanks to the rising costs of petrolium.
