Pics for dressing selections?

Do you all think it would be a good idea to have a small book of pics of differnet dressings so clients can pick out something they like? That way they know what type of look they are getting.

Not a bad idea but then you will have to carry multiple products to meet their demands which will make you go crazy for inventory etc. I would just offer them matte stin or high gloss to make it easier for yourself. I think 95 out of 100 non-autopian people won't even know the difference or have a preference.

I agree with Diesel on this one. I was thinking about trying different products as well..perhaps once you are half way through with a "high gloss" product, you can switch and see what your customers think about the new product. They may like the newer better, but then again they may like the old. If they prefer the old, you still have some left from the half way product and use that.

Just an idea.

Or, one tire with equal sections covered with different dressings.

Although, using real dressings be messy (especially with the solvent-based ones) so maybe some type of coating to simulate the level of shine.

It would take some experimenting to get the simulated shine levelright, but it might work.

OR

You could just ask if the customer has a preference for low, mid, or high gloss. Chances are they will either have no preference or a strong preference (like "NO HIGH GLOSS CRAP!!").

Thoughts anyone?

I try not to overcomplicate it for my clients (I have so many different dressings, waxes, etc. I think I was doing that for a while). Rather, I've had the best luck simply asking them if they'd prefer a satin or glossy look on the interior (99% choose satin). I don't even ask them on the tires, a people are a lot less picky in this regard...I just go with a medium gloss here.

i agree with diesel as well, do you really wanna take an hour and a half while a 95 year old makes up his/her mind on which one they had last time??? i mean why dont you just go sell furniture and flip through four hundred swatches for his/her sofa?
