Pics and a vid of my Mustang GT

It started out as an ordinary Mustang GT but the project took a life of its own.

The car is nowhere near where I want it to be but I do as much as I can when funds permit me to.

The mod list is quite extensive but there are 2 key areas which still need to be addressed.

The stock brakes need to be replaced with 14" Wilwood 2 piece rotors along with SL6 front and SL4 rear calipers.

A stroked shortblock will be coming in the new year increasing the displacement from 281 cubic inches to 297 cubic inches.

The car is set up with road racce suspension since I like corner carving but my benchmark for performance is the 1/4 mile.

The car ran 13.65 sec bone stock and it currently runs 11.139 seconds.

Here is a list of the current mods:

Thanks,

I use the back seat so an NHRA legal cage isn't possible for now. In a couple of years when it will be relegated to 2nd vehicle status I will be installing one.

I haven't really done anything to the interior other than adding an Speed Of Sound pillar pod and an aluminum bezel around the shifter boot.

11.23 @12? is fantastic man I love the way it squats then runs like a raped ape.

In 2007 I was running 26" tires and 3.55 gears in the FFW pic which allowed me to run softer suspension and get a better 60' time (1.52) but I wasn't running out 4th gear.

In 2008 I have gone to 28" slicks and 4.10 gears but the tires rub the fender wells unless I run the rear suspension on full firm. This has pushed my 60' times up by over 1/10th to 1.64.

With a set of Bogart rims on the back and softer suspension I should be able to get 1.4 - 1.5 second 60' times which translates to 2/10ths - 3/10ths in the 1/4 mile without even running skinnies up front.

That Mustang is SICK!! You did a great job with it!

How was FFW?? I totally missed it this year :(

Thanks,

I was trying to find traction with the new tires and I almost stuffed it into the wall on Saturday. Then on Sunday I lost the alternator and didn't run.

With the amount of partying we did it was probably a good thing.

Here's the last timeslips of the season. If you notice the 3 slips are within 0.002 seconds of one another which isn't too bad for a car with a manual trans.

The speed through both the 1/8th and 1/4 mile traps is way off.

I almost forgot to mention the most important part. The car is sporting a custom belt tensioner and gripper plate which I designed along with my cousin. We are currently selling them on our website. We are also selling them to Whipple Superchargers.

Sweet Stang.... I'm running 12.7's in my Jeep now and after I get my Vortech Kit I should be down around 11.4's. I can't wait. Stang looks great too. Very tasteful. Something I would drive. Although, just to critique something....... you gotta mount you mute button radar above your shifter!;)
