I just did some internet surfing and saw that there are picnic permit requirements plus daily admission fees. Not sure if these will adversely impact our plans. Here are some links -

Darlington County Park Picnic Permits

Darlington County Park Entrance Fees

P.S. The Bergen County Department of Parks website is riddled with broken links. Somebody needs to overhaul that site. :nono

If you need any help IE: someone needs to go over there and pick stuff up or drop something off... Please don't hesitate to ask! Like I said earlier its only a few miles away so it wouln't be a hastle at all!

Well, here's a possible deal breaker re: Darlington County Park. I found a PDF file with detailed park info. It says that no alcoholic beverages are permitted, so that means no beer.

Re: Poorboy's World Detailing Weekend

Well I don't think that any Park you are "allowed" to be drinking however Im sure as long as we were curtious and kept our drinking to perhaps "Juice in SOLO cups" then we wouldn't have much of a problem!

Nick you are right no park open to the public will allow drinking and besides this would be a "family event" anyhow. I know they will confiscate any alchohol and they do have people walk around checking coolers. I've been there many times with large groups and never needed any permits ...it's not like we're going to take the place over:lol or are we:crazy :D

Re: Poorboy's World Detailing Weekend

:wait Do you Think there's enough room for an Outsider. :lol

I know there might be a requirement of removing a window sticker "or 2" but I kind'a like that little guy, looks like the Monopoly Chance dude. :lmfao

Re: Poorboy's World Detailing Weekend

Steve I agree ...although its always nice to throw a few back and have a good time. Its not a necessity!

Anyone who's willing to help lug around tents/tables/coolers in nearly 100 degree heat isn't an outsider. :)

I don't drink beer anyway, so the non-alcholic beverages rule doesn't really bother me. As for the permits and entrance fees, I have no idea. I've never been to that park before. Maybe Nick could stop by and ask the park employees for guidelines. :dunno

I know there is a per person fee, it's a privately run park..I think $8-$10 per person...

Re: Poorboy's World Detailing Weekend

Well I guess we should start a new thread and find out all who's intrested! I will call them within the next day or 2 and find out what the deal is...

This sounds like a plan, I can bring my little one. We'll see how many questions Liz can answer in a minute :lol
