i have been in the market for a gn for about a year waiting for the right one to pop up. ever since i sold mine 3 years ago, i have felt lost. finally i will have another to enjoy.

i plan on just doing shows with it and leave it 100 percent original.

heres a few pics of it.

i cant wait to get it home next weekend.

now on to a few questions.

i am thinking of puting it in the concours class at the buick nationals. i have been in the stock class before, but never anything like that. what kinda of things do judges look for in a 400 point class?

Congrats, it looks like it is in supurb shape!!

Whats the $$ for a GN anyways, i need to start a GN fund here :)

its got 9600 miles on it, 100 percent stock. just had a 8000 dollar paint job.

gn's like that can run into the 20's, but i have seen some nice ones in the low teens. and you can get a driver for under 10K

my last one was 4600 miles when i got it, but i was young and stupid and modified it alot. this one im gonna treat as in investment and a piece of buick history and leave it alone.

1st thing i plan on doing it detailing the undercarrage like i did on my last one, that seems to be where people neglect these cars.

i honestly dont know, but i am sure they did. the guy i got it from is nationally known for some of his yenko's and copo camaro's.

Ive never been fond of the look of them, but Ive heard that they are a blast to drive. I must admit that one looks in tip top shape. You know the more and more I look at it, the more I like it. Great buy!

Beautiful car, although I am a little partial;)

Since you're in the area I thought I mention a car club I am involved in for turbo regals. We've grown to be probably the largest and most active turbo buick community in the nation (or world for that matter). No dues or nothing just a good group of guys that hang out and help each other out.

check it out @: http://www.magnabuick.com

Best of Luck with it!

That sure looks nice :xyxthumbs Showing it sounds like fun.

IMO the first thing you oughta do is find out the judging criteria. The stuff my Jag club does/doesn't care about was *not* what I expected, you might be surprised what the GN crowd cars about too. Sometimes the "obvious" stuff you'd do to preserve a car can conflict with the judging criteria.

And try to research the little details like what finishes the "out of sight" bits had on them from the factory. Depending on what the judges look for, stuff like inspector's marks, etc. can make or break a car at high level competitions.

Wow, I remember the BGN when I was in elementary school and my dad was going to get one, but got a Monte Carlo SS instead. BTW, tell me about the lighting you have there? That is the perfect brightness I am looking for in my garage. Thanks.

steve, i used to be very active in the buick club locally, and even held officer positions within the club. i had head that it fizzled away, and most of the members went to magna, so i will have to check that out.

thanks!

Very nice car. I've never driven one, but I need to some day. To me, GN's are special because of their level of performance during the time they were built.
