I am mister "the newer it is the better" and old things are ugly! But the e38 has got to be one of my favorite cars ever!

Thank you, surprisingly not too bad. SIP in one swipe took out like 98 of all the swirling. Only used PG in some spots that were tricky.

Thank you! I believe that color was only used on the 7 series and is rare.

Thanks guys. Actually, I can't stand the look of anything past 2006. The newer cars just look hideous compared to the authentic look of BMW's. But I'm bias.
 
Nice turnaround, interesting color. Is that clearcoat failure on the top surfaces? It seems less noticeable in the afters.



I agree with you on the newer BMWs, they just don't look right anymore.

Thanks man, yep total clear coat failure. Actually a lot of the body had CC failure.
 
Saw you post over at M3forum.net. I used to have a blue 740, never looked that good :2thumbs:
 
Oh wow, that car was a mess! Great job in bringing it back to life. Why in the world did the owner put M3 wheels on a 7 series?

Thanks guys. Normally when I see a car that has strange mods there is a correlation on how the owner took care of the car. But thanks for looking through the thread. :xyxthumbs
 
awesome revive! i love seeing older cars that get treated and look fresh again.i hope the owner was thrilled with the results b/c that paint is now a w e s o m e
