Pesky swirls

I have used #83 with my PC and #8006 pad on my 2001 Volvo trying to remove swirls/webs on the trunk and deck. It polished the surface incredibly well but they are still there. I think I'm going to move up to #84. However, I'm wondering if I need to change to another type of pad first?

#84 won't break down by PC.

You can try #83 with a cutting pad, but it is not recommended by Meguiar's.

use 83 on a megs burgandy pad - about 4 times per section and it might clear up...lol....its a hard paint and will take a while with a PC

otherwise, get some hitemp extreme cut as i find it a far superior compound to 84!

Yeah, don't try to use rotary-only products by PC (you think you have problems now....). The H-T EC, and 1Z Ultra, are about as harsh as I'd go by PC. With 4" pads they'll do most anything that's safe to do if you put in some time.
