Perfecting an '07 Z06 in the shrine of shrines

Glad to see you back and posting Sean! :)

Oustanding swirl removal as always. You should have told him you needed to do some high speed testing, just to make sure Zaino doesn't come off at speeds approaching 200 mph. ;)

1 picture is worth a thousand words. You can add a few more words on top of that to the after pics! Outstanding work!

Sweet! I don't know how you would be able to work surrounded by all those exotic cars. That is a lot of correction for a relatively mild polish via the PC, I'm impressed. Stunning work.

Thanks for all of the kind words :). This place was truly an experience to do work at and hopefully my work shines enough to have a couple inquiries and be able to go back and continue the fun.

The owner of CCG had one rule for me - "No roaming around on the floors...we have you on camera". He joked about it, but I could already surmise something of the sort held true.

Diesel: I have heard (and obviously know now) that the C6 clear is far more easy to work with than the C5. I've worked on both and I fully agree.

Thomas: It's been a while and since I couldn't check my work in direct sun (the toughest critic), I did not want to risk any faint hazing on a jet black finish. The PC proved an easy fix.

John: Thanks Kris :D. That show is great.

74thing: CCS Pads are killer. I love how after working a panel, I can stop the machine, press on the panel a few times and have more polish to work in. It's a real time/effort-saver.

mr.ikon: Thanks, I'm still an amateur, but the more and more I shoot, the better I get.

Bryan: Hopefully soon!

Scott: Him and I (both in to cars and driving fast, but little effort to do it for real) set a tentative date to get up and do some Auto-Xing at Limerock this year. Maybe we can switch cars for a round as he'd like to get rid of his Prius as a daily driver (I laughed at the combo, too) and get a sports sedan w/stick - IE: G35 :D.

Thank you all again!

Sean,

Nice work as always!!:xyxthumbs That's one sick garage!!!

Still holding on to products for ya!!:secret

Glad you get time to flex those detailing muscles now and then!!:lol I'm still way too busy!

Our Porsche club is scheduling time at Lime Rock at the end of the month and some time as well at the Glen. I was at a "DE" winter event this past Saturday. Gotta get my car tech inspected, fire extinguisher installed and I'm good. Just a helmet and time....

Glad to see you're still posting now and then!!

Regards,

Deanski

Very great results and wow, what a garage. Very impressive bunch of cars just in those few shots.

So, all you used was Menzerna PO85RD to cut and finish with? If the PO85RD is discontinued, what is the equivalent to it like PO106FF is to Blackfire SRC?

Awesome Job on the detail! I can't understand how marring can be that bad with only 2 washes.

That's a great point about the CCS pads Sean.

I'm not a big fan of them via the PC, but on the rotary they feel smooth as butter.

Again..... Amazing work Sean. :bow :bow :bow :bow :bow :bow

That was an enjoyable read.

Nothing really for the equal finish & abrasive level it gives. It's a step above FPII, but has that ultimate gloss/final finish. Maybe ZPC? It's a product you use on the final buff and need a little more than a finishing polish. Almost like a "glaze" step.
