Getting a chemical resistant spray bottle on the cheap is

a difficult thing to do. The easiest way is to find something

that was designed for harsh corrosives.

I might have found a good alternative. Please tell me your opinion.

It has a plastic wand and tip... I read "easy on paint".

Do you think this will stand up to toxic chemicals like Opti-Bond?

This seems like a great price on a commercial grade handheld sprayer.

They have small handheld pressurized sprayers also.

pricey as you can get pump chemical resistant sprayers at walmart for about $15.

for ONR you dont need a chemical resistant one. I use a handheld pump sprayer (40 oz), the type without a wand

the one you posted you can addapted to compressed air ,and say bye to hand pomping.

also i will spend more on something with 12v with pump on demand....saves on time and is handy in more situation where pressure may help.

So you guys are spraying down the panel with ONR? Are you doing a dedicated ONR wash following for just doing the spray n wipe route?

not sure about <span><span>bunkeroo26  , i do only onr wash with buckets. the 12v pressure washer is for wheels and in case i have to rinse the car , before i use the big 1700psi pressure washer,

after i inspect the car i decide what method will be used, on ocassion quick detailer does the job too , if the car is garaged and very light.

Could be they're using the Garry Dean method, or some variation thereof? It includes a pre-spray with rinseless solution...

I'm in the process of working bugs out of a 12V low pressure system like Cosmin mentioned, specifically for that purpose.

Charles ,  i have the old nomad pw 12v h2o , i double the house , is 25 ft and i can rich around the car even if my van is parked  a bit far from it.

for second van i have same set-up.

you may wanna replace some parts with solid metal fittings and use clamps ( exit from unit in my case is parmanent now), what they sell with nomad is not heavy duty so you have to improvise and replace some parts.

so far nomad is been for wheels , and on ocassion to rinse the lower panels when soiled. i am very happy with it.

Yes, gdwm with prespray, onr as clay lube, and any other chemical i spray a lot of at once(carpet pretreat, apc) is where i use the hand pump 40ish oz sprayers

What I'm working on is something more along the lines of what Garry has in his shop; using a 1 GPM 40psi on demand pump and external 12VDC power supply...

I have this garden type sprayer http://www.homedepot.com/p/RL-Flo-Master-1-gal-Economy-Sprayer-1401P/100188485#.Uqd_INJDuxA . It also has a pressure release. It works fine. I going to probably up grade to this back saver design from Gilmore http://www.walmart.com/ip/Gilmour-GP2-2-Gallon-Back-Saver-Sprayers/21797095. <span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">It is only $23.74 plus tax. You can order in online at WalMart and ship it your local WalMart store freight free and pick it up there.

If you're just using ONR, you can go to Home Depot and buy any pressurized sprayer. They have quite a few and the house brand 1 gallon works great with ONR.

Now youve got me wanting to build a low pressure spray system. Going to order the pump and hose shortly. Ill make another thread about it.

Will, many times I will have some Power Clean in my ONR, which is why I was

interested in a chemical resistant sprayer.

Am I mistaken in thinking that the "bleach sprayer" would be better suited for

the variety of chemicals that I could run through this bottle.

Most detailing chemicals will be fine in a regular sprayer. I even put megs wheel brightener in a regular one. The difference is generally the addition of viton seals for chemical resistance i believe.

Hey, thanks for the information.

It sounds as if it might not be as good of a price as I thought.

It would be neat to have a 5 gallon bucket lid that has a built

in sprayer.  I wonder if the cheap solar pump that I have

would do the trick, as it sprays pretty decent.  It would make

an interestingly quick ONR pre-lube, then pop the bucket lid

and grab my MFs for the Gary Dean method.  Sprayer unneeded

I do have some worries about using a solar fountain pump

that is intended "For Water Only".  I would like to contend that my

ONR concentration ratio is 1:256 approximately.  This is pretty much

water, and just has extra lubricity.  Since this is a water softener

and lube, will this mean that it is easy on the motor?

There's also the consideration of the type of springs in the trigger mechanism; some chemicals react with a steel spring whereas stainless or brass (or plastic) won't degrade.

That said, in the case of ONR/IUDJ or similar, there should be nothing of any consequence in the product to require a special sprayer, or to harm a pump.

I use Solo's hand pump sprayers and like them, anything pressurized makes your life so much easier!
