Pepboy's microfiber towels and buffer bonnets?

I bought some microfiber towels from Pepboys, in a pack of 3 that costs around $5. I know they're not the best like Pakshak, but in terms of buffing off polishes and waxes, are they ok? I know it's hard to tell without giving the name of the brand, but what do you think?

Also, they carry different pads for rotaries and buffers. Obviously they're not LC or CMA pads or anything, but would they be good enough?

Sorry for the vagueness, but thanks in advance for your thoughts

Micro fibre is not a fabric, it is a yarn, spun into thread, which is used to weave or knit fabric. The most common micro fibres weave is polyester; called Microfiber and will indeed scratch the surface of your car if you aren't careful. You should, as a rule, avoid any cloth material that is not 100% natural and the cheaper imports from Asia, fabricated from polyester, rayon, nylon, and nylon by-products.

That’s the best answer I can give with such limited information, I advise you to do a search, but again there is insufficient information. :nixweiss

The Pep Boys MF's are not that great. I actually use them for my windows since they are kinda of textured and tend to cut through the grime. If they are the same ones I am thinking about they are made my Niscand.

They will eventually lint but are good for everyday cleaning including wheels, door jambs, etc. (non-finish).

I would invest in some good Mf's from Pakshak and save the Pep Boys ones for your grunge work.

:wavey HI PAT!

I'll hit you up with questions here too! What brand of microfiber bonnett for my random orbital buffer would you recommend?

Thanks! See ya round! :bow

Ok This past weekend I took a look at it, and it was Zwipes microfiber towels. It's made by RSR Industries and contains 70% polyester with 30% of something...I think nylon.

Good enough or no good at all?
