jaynick808- Hey, sounds like you have as many different polishers as I do! Cool to have options, huh?
Yeah, I simply *hate* the on/off switch on the Griot's too! Bad location IMO also. So I'll sure agree that the machine's not perfect. I guess I'm getting used to the switch, but yeah...can't abuse it the way I can some of my other units. Maybe "abuse" is the wrong word, but hey, [stuff] happens.
My PCs have been a mixed bag; the one needed rebuilt awfully soon and the other has been making worrisome noises for quite a while now. My big gripe with them is that they simply seem wrong for the whole "polishing cars" thing. Great finish sanders, just so-so car polishers. Eh, I don't like the switch location on those either (gee, is there no pleasing this guy?!?).
Heh heh, if you want to talk indestructible build-quality, there's always the Cyclo. Mine have really been through it, and zero issues ever. When I sent the old one in for a rebuild (over 20 years with *zero* maintenance, not even oiling or a brushes change) they called to say it didn't really *need anything* (I did have 'em change the brushes anyhow).
