alright guys i know that it is almost virtually impossible to swirl paint with a pc but mine did it yesterday. when i first got my pc 7424 with the sonus 6" backing plate, everything was fine except it made this odd noise. it wouldnt swirl the paint but it had this loud crackling noise and my neighbor ,who uses these types of machines often, said that it sounded like a brush was going out or something. i ignored him and thought he was just senile and continued to use it. yesterday while using it it started a loud whistling noise every now and then and the maching vibrated like crazy. also the pad would wobble and i think that by the pad wobbling it caused the paint to swirl because of uneven contact (more pressure in some areas). i was wondering if anyone knew what causes this or how to fix it. do i need a 6" counterweight for the 6" backing plate? would that fix my problem? the machine is only a little over a month old so i know it doesnt need to be lubricated. i think tomorrow i will go buy the 7336 from lowes to have a backup becasue if im down because my machine isnt working then i dont make any money so i need a backup. i think im going to send the broken one to one of the repair centers and let them do warranty work on it unless someone knows of a place that would repair these.
i appreciate any help on this subject and apollogize for the long post.
