Hello everyone, I just purchased a PC7424 with some 6"pads and 4" ones from WG. While using the 4" pads with optimum compound yesterday, I felt the PC heating up. I was working on my side door at speed 2 to 3.
My guess is that i might have used too much strength trying to make sure that the pad is in full contact with the work surface, as the heat dissapated when i changed to the 6"pads.
I also noticed that using the 4" pads causes the PC to jiggle much more than when I used the 6" pads. Oh yes, i had the 5" counterweight on when using the 4" pads and changed to the 6" counterweight then using the 6" pad.
I have never used any machine for polishing my ride before so any advice would be most appreciated. Thanks in advance!! :helpsmili
