I've done my homework, read the ultimate pc accessory thread several times, as well as doing some other searches.

I have ordered the 7424 "bonus kit" from coastal.

Here are my questions:

Will the Meguiars velcro pads work with the "hook and loop" backing from coastal, or do I have to buy the Mequiars backing to use their pads?



I was reading their site, and I wanted to use their yellow and grey pads, and I was going to choose 2 or 3 polishes with variable aggresiveness ratings.



does this make sense, and if so,what product recommendations in the meguiars line do you recommend?



After surface prep I plan to Zaino by hand.

"Hook and Loop" is the non-trademarked way of saying "Velcro", which is a name brand. It's like Kleenex and Tissues.



So, yes, they are 100% compatible.



I find Meg's DACP indispensable for removing stubborn swirl marks, when used with the PC and a cutting pad. DACP is "Dual Action Cleaner-Polish, Meg's #82).



My process is DACP with cutting pad, sometimes twice if needed, then #9 Swirl Remover with polishing pad, followed by #7 with a fresh polishing pad, then P21S by hand with a foam applicator.

Glad to be of help, just keep in mind that my routine is great for a Canauba car. If you are going to go with Zaino, you'll want to Dawn wash after the #7 step to remove oils which will hinder the application of Zaino.
